Cologne, September 29, 2022 – The DEUTZ PowerTree has won the Diesel Progress Summit Award in the ‘electric/hybrid application of the year’ category. DEUTZ picked up the accolade at this year’s Diesel Progress Summit.

The DEUTZ PowerTree comfortably beat off the competition. To be eligible for the award, the models entered in this category had to be commercially available or in service in 2021. The judging panel in this category was primarily looking for innovation in electric or hybrid equipment and vehicles.
The DEUTZ PowerTree is an innovation from E-DEUTZ. Installed in a robust 10-foot container, the mobile rapid charging system is easily transported to where it is needed. This mobile backup battery with a rapid charging point provides a charging capacity of up to 150 kW, which is enough to charge construction equipment or a tractor during the operator’s lunch break. Using the PowerTree is straightforward, with no specific training required. And thanks to the PowerTree Connect digital app, all data relating to the charging point and the charging process can be tracked on site.
DEUTZ received the first volume production order for its PowerTree rapid charging station in August. The PowerTree expands the DEUTZ portfolio of alternative drive systems and is the first unit of its kind to supply on-site, emission-free energy for electrical applications.
The awards are handed out at the Diesel Progress Summit, an industry event held annually in Chicago.
