- 36 new recruits embark on their apprenticeships at three sites
- Apprenticeships in six vocations
- A further 22 apprentices from DEUTZ partners also taking part
Cologne, September 5, 2023 – DEUTZ has welcomed a new intake of apprentices, with three young women and 33 young men embarking on apprenticeships in six vocations at the engine manufacturer. The apprentices at the site in Herschbach started on August 1, while those in Cologne and Ulm started on September 1.
Every year, the Welcome Days in Cologne ensure a successful beginning to life at DEUTZ. Over the course of two days, the new apprentices get to know the company, their new workplace, and some of their future colleagues.
Timo Krutoff, CFO and Labor Director of DEUTZ AG, welcomed the new recruits: “We would like to thank the new apprentices for choosing to be part of our story and for placing their trust in us. It is very important to us that we lay the foundations for a successful start to their professional careers. After all, our employees are the ones who have been taking DEUTZ forward for almost 160 years.”
The DEUTZ Factory for Talents training center, in cooperation with partners, will offer career prospects to a further 22 apprentices via a modular or full apprenticeship.
To ensure that its apprentices enjoy the best preparation for the final exam set by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, DEUTZ runs a varied training program for technical/engineering and IT careers that includes on-site teaching.
Every year, the application process for DEUTZ apprenticeships starts after the summer holidays. Anyone interested can apply now for the apprenticeships starting in 2024.
